Title: Fresh Air from the East
The purpose of this project is to create a dress that includes the oriental motif and feeling but still westernized and modernized. The inspiration for this dress came from an oriental fan. The half-circled shape and the radiated ribs of a fan influenced the silhouette and construction of the dress. The overall design concept of the dress is intended to be happy, fun, sexy, elegant and splendid.
The doubled fan-shaped pieces of front and back finally emphasize on the floral motif. The color red is chosen for matching the design concept, which symbolizes the happiness and opulence in orient and the sexy and passion in western. Material: Shantung silk
